We have tips for you on how to properly care for your Staub cast iron cookware . With proper care, it will serve you for a very long time!

GENERAL INFORMATION
- We recommend using wooden or silicone kitchen utensils.
- Staub cast iron cookware is stackable. When stacking, place a protective layer between the cookware to prevent scratches.
- We recommend that you regularly coat the inside of your cast iron cookware with vegetable oil by slowly heating it on the stove and then wiping off the excess oil with kitchen paper. This creates a protective film that improves the non-stick properties and also protects the cookware from corrosion.
- Staub cast iron cookware can be used on the grill.

HOW TO PROPERLY CLEAN STAUB CAST IRON COOKWARE?
- Always let Staub cast iron cookware cool down before cleaning. Pouring cold water on a hot pot or pan can lead to cracks or damage due to the sudden change in temperature.
- Clean a cast iron pot or pan with warm water, liquid dishwashing detergent and a soft sponge or brush.
- If food residue remains stuck to a pot or pan, we recommend soaking the dishes in warm water with dishwashing detergent, overnight if necessary.
- If you still can't get the dishes completely clean, we recommend soaking them in boiling water with two or three tablespoons of baking soda for a few minutes.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal brushes or scouring pads, which can permanently damage cast iron cookware.
- Dry the dishes thoroughly with a clean cloth, always making sure they are completely dry.

MORE TIPS FOR CARE OF CAST IRON COOKWARE
- You can wash cast iron cookware in the dishwasher (except cookware with wooden handles), but we do not recommend regular washing in the dishwasher. Modern dishwasher detergents contain various chemicals that attack enameled cast iron and can damage the cookware with frequent use.
- The handles and knobs may loosen over time. Check them from time to time and tighten if necessary.
