From the very beginning , STAUB has been producing ceramic tableware of the highest quality. The products are made from excellent materials and thoroughly tested several times to meet all the requirements of the modern kitchen. Each piece is made individually using traditional methods. Great emphasis is placed on the "Hand Finished" label. During the production process, each piece is checked to ensure that strict quality standards are met.
MATERIAL AND FORMS
PERFECT CERAMIC CLAY
The basis for the production of ceramics is high-quality natural raw materials. The quality of the raw materials and the perfectly balanced mixture of ceramic clay and water are decisive for the final result.
GOOD FORM
A precise mold is created for each individual product, which guarantees consistent quality. Each mold is marked with the inscription " STAUB ", which is a symbol of careful production and quality.
CASTING

IN ONE CASTING
The shape of the product determines the production technique. When casting, the exact amount of ceramic clay is important. It is important to ensure that it fills each cavity evenly.
RIGHT TIMING
Timing is key when casting. A perfect result is achieved through a combination of craftsmanship and experience.
MANUAL PROCESSING
After casting, the product is removed from the mold and prepared for the next manufacturing process. Each processing step must be carried out with absolute precision.
DIE CAST

INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTION PROCESS
Some products are made using the die casting method. This technique allows the product to rest in the mold for a long time.
HANDMADE
Production-related adjustments are made manually, requiring a steady hand and a good feel for the material.
EDITS
After the first manual corrections on the reverse side, the product is released from the mold. Now the first view of the ceramic is possible. Each mold has specific areas during the production process that can only be adjusted manually.
ROTATION PROCESS

DIVISION INTO INDIVIDUAL PARTS
For round ceramic products, the best choice is the rotational process. The first step is to precisely portion the clay material.
SHAPE AND LOCATION
For each product, a precisely measured amount is placed in the mold. The raw material is then prepared for further processing.
ROUNDING
The round ceramic shape is created by the ideal rotation speed at the perfect angle.
RELEASE
After the turning process is complete, the product must be manually released from the holder. This is also where production-related corrections are made.
REST
After being pulled out, the round ceramic mold must rest.
DRYING

AIR
The products are shaped and air-dried to achieve the perfect strength for the firing process.
DRYING TIME
Experience has shown that each individual ceramic mold needs an individual drying time to guarantee high quality standards.
DECORATION AND POLISHING

HAND FINISHING
Many shapes require fine-tuning by hand. Many ceramic molds are very intricately designed, and some products require additional details that are applied by hand.
COVER
The lids are always processed and finished by hand.
FINE GRINDING
Ultimately, you need a steady hand and a good eye to create the best possible product.
COLORED GLAZES

PIGMENTS
The glaze is made from glass powder and colored pigments, which ultimately result in the characteristic STAUB colors.
A FEEL FOR DETAIL
Glazes require great sensitivity, as the product must not be left in it for too short a time, but neither for too long.
IMMERSION PROCESS
Glazing requires a lot of hand movements and a lot of patience. It is important to achieve the optimal color shade during the dipping process.
SURFACE
After applying the perfect glaze, the ceramics must rest and dry repeatedly.
FIRING PROCESS
BEFORE FIRING
The ceramic products are still resting. They are pale and pastel and you could only guess what bold STAUB colors they will soon shine with.
IN THE OVEN
At very high temperatures, the color pigments bond perfectly with the clay material.
AFTER BURNING
The firing technology optimizes the quality of the products. The result is high durability, reduced porosity and very vivid colors.
POLISHING

FINAL TOUCH
Before storage, the ceramic products are hand-finished to ensure high quality workmanship.
TESTING
Thanks to quality certification, it is guaranteed that STAUB ceramics meet the requirements of a modern kitchen.
LAST CHECK
The product is tested again before being carefully packaged and then prepared for shipment worldwide.
